Flowers Near The Brook Poem by chandra prakash verma

Flowers Near The Brook

where should i begin..
the shining petals..
this succumbing heart..
to your breath-taking skin..
or the luring rose..
when i was in my senses..
when your eyes bent the cryptic rays..
of the stars...
a distant melody flew in my ears.
i saw you from far..
touching the flowers near the brook...
i saw you caress..
i saw you feel..
i went to them, when you left..
they talked for hours..
only about you..
And when they finally slept..
i started for home..
that distant melody still rang..
in the hollow halls of heaven..
in the crystal cores of the ocean..
on the sleepy moons of the venus..
i kept awake whole night on earth..
hoping to see you again..
the flowers near the brook still smile..
when i pass them by..
i ignore them..
in thoughts of you, drowned..
