Fly - Poem by Taher Shemaly

Like the winds
my dreams shall fly
Through the fields of agony
fly and fly, until they die
With freedom shall they live
and with dignity standing high

Fly, fly, O dreams of my sorrow
in every marrow, on every nest
Saviour of my world, O my soul
no one accepted you as a guest
Be back now and then for a while
to this heart and have some rest

O my dreams, yet you have to go
from here and there and come fro
Fly, without a cage for a custody
or a glance of a prison of harmony
Go, and find in the sky a bound
I, who shall be here, to the ground
