Fly High Poem by chris schwartz

Fly High

Rating: 5.0

You didn't hear my silence
Though it was louder
Than the grinding wheels
Of a slow moving
Empty freight train.
You didn't see the hurt
I was hiding
When you drove past me
While I was walking
In the cold October rain.
The tears I cried
Took me almost
To homicide
The thought was stripped from me
By sheer consequence
Cause I never thought
You were worth it.

I'll keep drinking
My pain away
Guess you ain't left me
Yet today.
Twenty plus years
I still feel the blows
And only God knows
What its gonna take
To free me.
The angels are on my side
You can't keep me here
Forever.
And when I fly up
I'm gonna let on
That you're not the kind
To be here.

I'll be flying high.
So high with the angels.
Free from the mindset
That laid me
In the Devil's arms.
I will fly free,
Past your memory
And close my eyes
One final time
To the bruises
That made you feel great.
I will fly high.

Silence was louder to hear amazing words of love. This made the perception of love great. An amazing sharing is done here...10
