Foglio Bianco Poem by Samantha Gaio

Foglio Bianco

Se mi dai un foglio bianco
lo riempirò coi miei pensieri,
Se mi dai un foglio bianco
lo trasformo in aquilone
per poter volare insieme
sopra nuvole e tempeste
e scoprire nuovi mondi
planando sugli oceani.

Se mi dai un foglio bianco
chissà che io non scriva a te,
Se mi dai un foglio bianco
allora lo dipingerò
con mille rose e tulipani
che raccolgo dal mio cuore
e poi ci metto pure il sole
che ho intravisto nei tuoi occhi.

Se mi dai un foglio bianco
forse invece resterà così,
con quel bianco accecante
che ti fa pensare al sale,
e mentre resti lì a pensare
resta lì anche quel foglio,
destinato a prendere il volo
come foglie quando cadono.

I do not speak Italian, but I got this from Google Translate. From past experience with Spanish and Portuguese, I know that Google Translate does not always come up with the best translations, but I am unable to correct this one if there are any errors. Anyway, it will give readers a general idea of what the poem is about. If you give me a blank sheet I will fill him with my thoughts, If you give me a blank sheet turned it into kite to be able to fly together above clouds and storms and discover new worlds gliding over the oceans. If you give me a blank sheet God knows that I do not write to you, If you give me a blank sheet then I will paint with thousands of roses and tulips I collect from my heart and then I'll put even the sun I saw in your eyes. If you give me a blank sheet Perhaps instead it will remain so, with that blinding white that makes you think of the salt, and while it remains there thinking It is also there that paper, intended to take flight like leaves when they fall.
