Flower Poem by Samantha Gaio

Flower

Rating: 5.0

I saw you at the station,
Waiting for your train,
Alone against the wall,
Alone with all your thoughts.

For a while our gaze met,
And in your eyes i saw myself.
I wanted to tell you
'I'm here for you',
But then your train arrived,
And you went away from me.

And the nights i could not sleep,
Wondering where my words have been.

I asked the Moon if she knew your name,
She said you have a flower's name,
But then she said
'Don't fall in love with her,
She's a danger for your heart.
She will leave,
And you will suffer'.

Oh Moon,
I wish i never fall in love anymore.
But she said
'Be careful what you wish for.'

And now i can't love,
Moon was right,
And i am alone.

If someone loves me,
I suddendly leave,
Oh Moon,
I wish my lover were you.

'Be careful what you wish for,
Little human, i already told you before.'

The Sun, Moon's greatest lover,
Saw me and my passion,
And full of rage against me,
Burnt my eyes
And spat on me.

I walked alone,
In a desert of thoughts,
Without water,
Without hope.

Once it rained,
And i was still alone,
But the day after
A flower was born.

I sat down,
Looking at it,
With my blind eyes,
With my dried tears.
