He thought he could hide,
We all did.
Away from the sun,
Away from our shadows.
We outran our lives
And gave it all away.
We stepped into the oceans
And sank to the bottom
We created our castles
And we walked hand in hand
Along the gravelled floor.
And we laughed because we lived.
Dead. We created another life.
He hid his soul away,
We all hid our souls away.
Playing follow the leader
Following a broken subordinate.
