Hush. Hear the sound of the hearts
Beating. Beating.
That's it, take a swing with your axe.

Hush. Hear the sound of the tears
Falling. Falling.
Go on, take a stab with your bayonet.

Hush. Hear the path of the weary
Shuffling. Shuffling.
Come on, cock the bow and shoot.

Hush. Hear the feel of the innocent
Blameless. Blameless.
Carry on. Take your gun; aim and fire.

Hush. Smell the fear of the enemy
Inside. Inside.
Keep going. Throw a punch. Or two.

Hush. See the blood of a generation
Spilled. Spilled.
Maintain. Spew venom from your mouth.

Hush. Feel the air of hope
Wanting. Wanting.
Persist. Set the countdown to the bomb.

Hush. Touch the scent of lonely.
Empty. Empty.
Proceed. Kick with all your might.

Hush. Stop and look in the mirror.
Raw. Raw.
Endure. Look down and walk away.

Hush. Close your heart and take a bow.
Hollow. Hollow.
Persevere. Walk the inches of your grave.

Listen. Hear the sound,
Of nothing.
