Rain Poem by Ojone Amedu

Rain

Rain Rain, go away
Don't come again another day
You fall too fast and hard
Bringing memories, guilt and regret.
You tire me, but it's never enough.
You just take and you take.
And you never give back.
You think you're so sly,
Escaping to kiss my cheeks, colorless.
You're not. Always leaving tracks.
Rain Rain, go away!
Don't come again another day
You force me to my knees
And make me bow my head
Leaving me weak and vulnerable
With no hope of ever recovering.
You're salty to taste,
And I realized your victory, you fell.
Adding insult to injury.
Oh, my heart.
Rain Rain, go away.
Please don't come again another day.
