after countless drinks that night
she fell asleep
into the calm darkness

notebook open
to her final good bye
there she slept

in her mind the beast
that caused her all this pain
hidden in the back of her head
knew that this would all never end
unconscious but alive

her subconscious mind took over
turned to the closet friend
inches away it laid
just under the bed

slowly she moved
calwed with her sleepfilled body
eventually she sat up straight
this time knife in hand

forever in darkness
free of pain
she whispered as
her wrist start to sob
shedding tears
