Fool For Love Poem by Rachel Brewer

Fool For Love

I was such a fool when it came to love,
I didn’t know what to do.
I would try to be myself, but nothing seemed to work,
I could never really impress you.

I know I shouldn’t have to,
Because you should love me for who I am.
I didn’t realise it would be so hard,
I felt as weak as a lamb.

I was such a fool I can’t believe it,
Trying anything to win your love.
I guess I didn’t try very hard,
Because you floated away like the clouds above.
