Fools Come By Greyhound Bus Poem by Herbert Nehrlich

Fools Come By Greyhound Bus

Rating: 5.0

It takes some time to pick the fools
each Greyhound bus discharges some.
You ought to know that fools make rules
they do prefer their victims dumb.

How can you tell who is a fool?
You need to quickly close your eyes.
And dream the way you did in school
when buddies told you clever lies.

Your inner man will let you know
and send you from his intuition
a verdict with the truth in tow,
just file it under premonition.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Not just the Greyhound. There are numerous English buses... some of them even manage to not break down for half an hour! And the fools are the ones who forget to get off. Ahem, anyway. Premonition..... dreams, too, I'd say. Another provoking, witty, flowing piece H... love it! t x
