Foot Steps Poem by Joyashree Majumder

Foot Steps

Rating: 5.0

Footsteps
The echoes of your footsteps are missing,
I have heard it once.
But alas! It sound as illusions,
And illusions are truth now.
As baba you surpassed our known ties.
But the illusions are truth now,
The illusion of hearing the echoes of my most beloved footsteps-
The paralytic, imbalanced, husky echoes of footsteps are missing.
Around my world - loneliness and memoirs are frequently hissing-
Baba your footsteps are now really missing.
And echoes of footsteps are illusions now,
Alas again illusions are truth now-
As I still saw you waiting for my return,
Baba your footsteps are cold-
Deleting all paternal ties-
Only illusions of your memoirs- are propellant now.
It enlivens me for each fresh day,
With your memoirs-
Baba no shroud can hide your footsteps ever,
Baba our lovelorn premises is desolate now.
