I wish to paddle
in tropical seas;
touch Nepal snow,
feel Sahara breeze.
I wish to stroll
along Central Park;
see the Northern Lights
when it is dark.
I wish to dance
with the Rio crowd;
look upon Lourdes,
view the Turin Shroud
I wish to claim
my right of birth;
to become a true
Citizen of Earth.
For in my bones
I feel I must;
leave my footprints
in the dust.
