Eve - Poem by Rachel Flint

the serpent
had to crawl
on its belly

adam had to endure
hard labour
from dawn till dusk

eve had to
give birth to children
work from dawn till dusk
and crawl on her belly
when asked

fair? i think not

    Hi Rachel,

Clever and humorous… worded just right with strong cues for imagination… I saw the snake and Eve crawling on their bellies. Vivid imagery. Loved it!

    Thanks

I agree. Life is not fair especailly to women and children. Even in those countries where they say that men and women are equal, the practices don't reflect this. (Report)Reply
