tears fall down my face
leaving not a trace
but the stains of salt
and the feelings of fault
why is nothing rite?
why can i not see the light?
if only i could be
if only i could see
the things that pass me by
the clouds cover the sky
all the rain
all the pain
wash it away
where is my sunny day?
god help me to understand
the footprints in the sand
the way you carry me
and help me to see
your blessings, your love
i wish on a star above
let me be free
of all the misery
show me my road
lighten my load
thy word is my light
thy love my right
god help me to understand
the foot prints in the sand
