New Eyes
Like a veil off a bride
Like light after a long dark
Like new eyes for the blind
I see you now
My eyes squeezed shut
Newly opened somehow
It was not at first sight
Not at first glance
You snuck up on me
Now like a moth to the light
Like a soldier to the fight
You're all I see
