Footprints Of Someone You Know Poem by Char Pattrick

Footprints Of Someone You Know

Rating: 3.8

To watch all your footprints all but wash away
Where I have been and dream to visit or stay
My heart reaches out to those in utter despair
Life is full of unpredictable events, not always fair
Tender loving moments as life opens up wide
To show me the things, that is another lonely ride
Peace, quiet, tranquility is what I seek inside me
Even when it's painful, desolute illusion to see
Surrounded by a loving, loyal and so caring friend
There is meaning with capacities to no other end
I see others grieve and hope it's never to be me
Don't want to see my footprints washed out to sea
Can't package and hold on to you almost too tight
For all life has some ending, never ever feels right
To lose a thread in your life is again all sweet hope
To forget to hold on to that so very short precious rope
That holds life close, neatly and completely together
Tie it down undrowned and partially to a tether
Because friends are here right now, always forever
In my heart I don't ever let go, never, ever!
