Footsteps Poem by shreya sharma

Footsteps

Inside the room she sat
With her things strewn all around
Suddenly, footsteps she heard
Tip-tapping into the ground!
She gave it a thought
To her mind it brought
The possibility of the owner
Be a lady, be a man?
With any feeling, of any clan.
Maybe lonely, whose heart had all lost,
Of an unhappy person
Whose joy maybe lost.
They maybe of those
Who work through all day
Their sadness, down lay.
Footsteps are the voice of those
Whose silence is deafening.
