Growing up wasnt easy
For i never had faith in love
I found life so difficult
Yet i prayed to God above

I followed the path i was told to do
In forth i felt empty and always kept myself in solitude.

I have made mistakes
Many ones too
I hurt loved ones
And some have hurt me too

They say you cant change the past
And at times i wish i could
Though if that would be true
Then i wouldn't of known you

You came in my life
As though i was searching for you
It was a bumpy ride
Yet my heart always felt it belonged with you.

I fought all i could and all i had
To make you believe
That even though everyone fails
The love we have together
Has kept us strong for others
Who don't have love like ours
Only wish to break or to deceive.

I know at times i may have my fears
For people who don't have what we do
Would do anything to let us feel
What we have is not real

Yet i know with your heart and mind
And all we have been through
That there was a reason
For you to do what you do
To find me out there was something i never believed to be true

My heart is content
And its so hard to explain
The day my life changed
Was the day you were sent.

You mean everything to me
Now i know what true love means

I ask God above to watch over you
For this special man has a heart for so big and true.
I stand by you the one i adore
Who can ask for anything more

I love you from the bottom of my heart
And i wrote this to you
I want you always to know
That no matter where you are
You will always be my shining star
