For Calm Poem by Naveed Akram

For Calm

A resolution was proposed
And carried with near
Throbbing support
To veto wine-drinkers,
Those hated followers,
Fed up soldiers
So make-believe,

Near this support,
My question asks something else:
Deliberate discussion is foolish
When resolved hearts
Attack with frenzy
The aimless sufferers
Voting for calm and felicity.
