For Daniel Pelka Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

For Daniel Pelka

Your brief life was tragic, so sad from birth.
Never knew love from one who gave you birth.
Your silent cries only the angels heard
Suffering to you was a living word.
Where did these demons in human form come
Who found pleasure in torture, pain for some?
Whose souls were so barren of dignity
So vile and vicious in their cruelty?
You have your answers now, that is for sure,
Daniel, your justice will forever endure.
