For Einstein Poem by Jennifer Riegler

For Einstein

"Come away with me dear Jen! " I heard Einstein say,
He spun and twirled in delight on a lovely autumn day!
He had nothing much to do and no one to fear,
The woods were his; it was the best time of the year!

I watched him through seasons, this bundle of fur.
I felt he watched me too; he was a great actor!
Birdy often joined him; they were a sweet duo,
They swung happily on the branches, to and fro.

The last time I saw Einstein, I knew it was farewell,
But I know one day together we will sing noel….
We will hug and talk, crush nuts and walk,
You will teach me to swing and we will rock!

But until then dear Einstein, please know that I love you….
I will think of you and sing, and miss that thing you do!
