For George Bernard Shaw Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

For George Bernard Shaw

G.B.Shaw was cremated at Golders Green Crematorium, London
As per the wishes
And the ashes to be scattered into the garden of his house, Shaw's Corner
With those of his wife, Charlotte Payne-Townshend.

Why did Shaw choose to be cremated,
Was he a rebel, a revolutionary, a heretic,
An idealist, a socialist, a talker?

He was not a thesis-giver,
But an anti-thesis maker
With the guts of contradicting any theory,
Any philosophy.

G.B. Shaw was G.B.Shaw,
There will not be another
As there none to rival him
In rational reasoning and power to contradict.
