For Life Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

For Life

No life

If you cannot acquire wood
For preparing food
Cut the tree that has lost life
And not in position to stand strife

No leaves shall emerge
No branches shall manage
Use it for common good
But bring in new plant in neighborhood

You shall not be able to breathe
The children shall meet with death
The air has become poisonous
The pollution has become dangerous

No one shall survive
If we fail to revive
Any plan for green belt
We all shall become extinct

Bring in no technology
That destroys human and humanity
What is use of national prosperity?
When poor can’t be fed poorly?

It is alarming bell
For us to remind and tell all
Days are not far off when we shall be wearing masks
Taking air through cylinders and tea from flasks

For Life
