For No Life Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

For No Life

For no life

I got nothing from family
No treasure but only happiness
Parent worked hard for me
To see me grown as very much free

No outside quarrel fascinated
No race struggle alienated
No greed influenced or attracted
They all drank divine water and acted

They sang about past sweet memory
How their parents made them happy
With strong hands to carve out from stone
The impression of wind that had slapped and gone

I got blessings
For putting
Views in writing
And keenly observing

Such fine art in writing
With no involvement of fake eliciting
Pure and genuine feeling flowed
I too sang divinely and allowed

I never knew 'power grows out of barrel of gun'
Lord Buddha gave us precious smile
Lord Mahavir* gave us message of non violence
Mahatma Gandhi taught us to feel strong without being tense

So pen did miracle
For all individuals
To air for peace and stability
That is how my country, India, emerged with formidable nationality

You may find many poets
Known and unknown with quietness
But raising banner with might ink
And care for no life or think

Mahavir: - great jain 24th incarnation of God
