For One Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

For One

With hundreds I spoke, ate, sang, danced...
My eyes twinkled
but my mind got depressed;
my lips smiled
but my heart wept.
I am in search of one-
on her breast
I will keep my head:
my eyes will cry
but my mind will be happy;
my lips will get parched
but my heart will sing.
She will be just like me
but hundreds are my opposite.
