Shayari jo bolti hai,
Kucch kaha jaati hai,
Humaari kya pehchan hai,
Jazbaaton mei likh du unka naam.

The shayari that speaks,
Goes it saying,
What is our identity something,
Just let me write his name in emotions and feelings.

Masala kya,
Sulajhaa to lijiye,
Vivado mei kya?

What is the matter,
Settle you,
What it in disputes?

Indore ke Indori saheb,
Wei topo gujar gayei
Lekin unka dour jo abhi tak gujara nahi.

Indore's Indori Saheb,
He passed away,
But his time crossed it over not.

Aap gujar gayei
Lekin aapki hansi, aapka thatta, aapki dillagi,
Aapka mazak, mashkhara jo yaad hai.

You went away
But your laughter, your giggle-grin, your heartiness,
Your comicality, joke rememberI that.

Hindustan kisi ke baap ka nahi,
Mera bhi hai,
Aap kaha rahei aankhei mund kar.

Hindustan not of somebody's father's
But of my own too,
You saying it with the winking at of the eyes.
