For Scooner, While We While We Then Poem by Annie Cordelia Adams

For Scooner, While We While We Then

while the rats barked and the sun shone
through the window in the cinder wall
past the orange paintings, nearly identical
dinosaur jr. [don't worry i knew you wouldn't remember them again]
you never did remember.
