For The House That Once Stood Empty... Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

For The House That Once Stood Empty...

A house stands empty in a street looking sad, lonely and bare. Dark shadows reflecting haunting memories now faded into its wall.

Weeping tears shed for lost souls, past siblings with flashbacks of growing up, a childhood home, the inevitable carousel of life.

Stripped naked a blank canvass yearning for life to fill its spacious heart. Each room a living stage, a theatre of consciousness, desperate for the curtain to rise.

Time to let go, step aside so the next chapter can be written, the mystical pages turn. New owners poised with their own quill of destiny to write years of new legendary tales

Nothing lasts forever, no mercy at the hands of time. Handing the spiritual batten, new story creators about to step inside.

The laughter, drama, verses of hope uplifting this home with warmth and colour. For the house that once stood empty, doesn't stand empty no more...
