For The Moon Poem by Oreoluwa Sanni

For The Moon

I still love you,
I don't say those words loosely,

I meant it when I said it,
and I still don't regret it,

If you'll be mine I'll be yours

I'll work harder to build a relationship
working with our differences hoping each
issue that may occur will only bring us
closer and stronger together as we work
them through together.

I can be your Sun and you my Moon and
even tho we are Different on my darkest
days you can be my light and I yours.

There is no such thing as a perfect relationship
but I can work hard so our ship we sail doesn't sink
until death does us part.

But it's up to you to decide,
and correcting my first mistake
I'll give you all the time you need.
