For The Next Ten Days......... - Poem by Pranayee Gupta Rachamalla

Who will fight for remote for the next ten days?
who will irritate me, imitate me and tease me in all possible ways,
who will pull my hair for not listening to them?
who will pile up their notes and projects on me the day just before submission;
Now who shall care and make me laugh when i weep?
who will support me when i'm deserted?
who will make me cool and calm when i am irritated.
Now for the next ten days, who'll act like my elder brother? ,
of course overacting, because i'm his elder not younger sister!
who'll pretend to be hurt,
and start dancing again, when i'm quite....
Who shall now comment on my poem
and give names to the drawings i have done?
Now for the next ten days,
who'll watch horror movies with me though they're scared inside?
With whom should i play,
and talk about what happened the whole day!
At whom should i shout? and still they come to me,
who shall get cats and dogs to play with me, ?
now who can replace my monkey, my monster, my brother,
my idea box, my best friend, my instant calculator!
who will blackmail me for reading novels,
because i read them secretly keeping it inside my text-books;
For the next 10 days who shall compete wih me,
to sit in between Mom and Dad?
Who shall give me the things from top most shelf?
what and who shall substitute this best gift i have kept for myself? !
the climbing rope, your boxing kit, the monkey bar are missing you,
but i miss you the most, come soon from your little chandu!
