For Those We Do Not Love Poem by Francis Duggan

For Those We Do Not Love

To those that we love we should always be true
And we should always give credit to where credit is due
But for those we do not love we should not harbour a grudge
And though them we choose to ignore them we ought not to judge,
Those we do not love we should not harm in any way
And let bygones be bygones as a wise one did say
You cannot be friends with those unfriendly towards you
Just get on with your life that is all you can do
Get on with your life and live and let live
And though sins against you not forgotten you ought to forgive
For a harboured grudge to hatred only grow
And those full of hatred compassion can't show
For those who have sinned against them in some way
Just forgive them and to karma for their sins let them pay.
