For Ultimate Good
Steadfast desire
For ultimate good-
Not an empty fire
That burns some wood,
True love means thriving
On a genuine purpose
Not emotional passing
That sighs in repose.
When illness and age
Shall plague the days
And enters the stage
When Life ebbs away
True love stands solid
And strength it accords
Proven by the deeds
And not just by words.
