For 'We' Not 'I' Poem by Prakash Khanal

For 'We' Not 'I'

This journey is quite long,
So long that even mighty 'Karnali, '
Weeps through its song,
Flowing by the fields of barley.
It invites a passer by.
Who too stops to sing and share,
The song of his troubles and cry.
She teaches him to bear,
The pains of the fate.
As she never stops to show,
Her pain and be late.
Cause she knows only to flow.
Knowing his pains, she calls out humans,
And reminds them of their duty.
To serve everyone through actions,
Of love not for 'I' but 'WE'.
Quit your hatred and jealousy.
This journey is long and difficult.
Everyone, think and care about humanity,
So that God cares thee in return.
