For You Poem by Maria Danoussi

For You

Rating: 4.0

FOR YOU

When I lay my head on the pillow
And the darkness envelops me
In its velvet cape
I take leave of
The day that was
And I tread lightly into a dreamland
Where I meet you
Weary with wait
We fly together on the cotton clouds
An eternity imprisoned in a night
And when the daylight breaks
We descend into the world we left
And we go our separate ways
As if we never shared
The secrets of the night before
As if we never lived the life
Of the creatures of the never-never land
