Forest Poem by Julian Takali

Forest

The fox hurries across the river -sending ripples down the stream

The ripples hit the fleet of fish -
making them scurry

Which in turn helps the bird -
sweep down to feast

As the winged angel flies above -
a bobcat springs through the leaves

To the birds neck and the ground -
about to gorge on its feathery find

When a claw from a bear -
slashes the cat from behind

But the roar of mans rifle -
splatters its brains across the trees

The fox hurries across the river -sending ripples down the stream
