Nothing I say
Nothing I do
Will remove the feelings
I have for you.
I long for the smile
That sign of affection
Moving my heart
In every direction.
Each word you say
Each breath you utter
Bringing us closer
I can only but mutter.
Those soft blue eyes,
So deep and so warm
Now icy and cold
Hurt, emotionally torn.
I long for forgiveness,
My heart it's in two
Wishing that I
Had not damaged you.
For friendship is golden,
Immediate and strong,
But now I do know,
What I did was but wrong.
This empty feeling,
I now but endure,
Killing me slowly,
As I lose mi amore.
You are the one,
Who brightens up my day,
Whether you mean to,
In your own special way.
You make me happy,
And just for a while,
I know that this,
Is a genuine smile.
Deep in my heart,
And through to my soul,
A coldness runs through me
Like the north and south pole.
This feeling of regret,
That unresting sorrow,
Does not go away,
As today becomes tomorrow.
I would but weep,
If I had tears to give,
For indeed I know,
I cannot continue to live.
With knowing you hate me,
That negative emotion,
When what I feel for you,
Is nothing less than pure devotion.
