Forever You'll Remember Poem by Ray Hansell

Forever You'll Remember

Rating: 5.0

Things in life touch us all
No matter who we are
From watching a beautiful sunset
To seeing a falling star

But what seems to touch us most of all
Is the death of someone we knew
So many things run through our minds
So many emotions passing through

You think about the sadness
That the family must feel
People convey their wishes
While their tears they can't conceal

Your at a loss for words
You're not sure what to do
People look up to the heavens
As if waiting for God to come into view

Some people grieve in silence
While others never grieve
But we all know that death
Is a call we'll all receive

Even if you already know
That someone soon will die
It still hits so very hard
Like a shot between the eyes

The best respect you can show
Is to have your time when you morn
But remember there is always hope
With the coming of a brand new dawn

Morn for a while than move on
The hurt you'll soon surrender
But keep in your heart the person gone
It's them, you'll forever remember

Sage advice in a well written poem - it makes me remember my own father. A 10.
