Forgetting Poem by Lacey UnKnown

Forgetting

Rating: 5.0

I haven't thought of you in days
I keep myself busy in different ways
So my body gets used to not having your arms
I keep it busy, sometimes inflicting harm
So my mind doesn't drift and think of our love
I keep it filled with sad, sad songs
Speaking of songs, I heard ours today
When I did everything finally gave way
I sat and cried for hours and hours
And tried to decide why devotion goes sour
When you said you loved me, would always be with me
I thought it was true and you'd never leave me
But here I am with no one here
Another lie I have to bear
I thought you were different from other guys
But everything you told me turned out to be lies
I'll try to forget you for a few more days
And keep myself busy in different ways
