Forgetting A Dream Poem by Ronald Chapman

Forgetting A Dream

I've always known you were just a dream,
When morning comes, only memories of you are left behind,

I want to think quietly,
To not forget you,

Write words about love and you,

How can such thoughts come from something unreal?

I turn on the lights at midnight,
But I can't stop these thoughts of you,

Dreams of love that make me miss you,
Someone that does not exist,

Every minute, Every second

How can I forget someone like you?

When I've almost forgotten you,
I fall asleep and
You visit me in my dreams.

How can I forget a dream?
