Forgive And Forget Poem by Allen Liebenberg

Forgive And Forget

I am standing behind the bedroom door
Furniture lying scattered on the cold afternoon floor
Wondering why we keep burdening our hearts
With issues that sure will our way parts?

The kids are locking themselves in their room
Not wanting any part in this already doom
They know not of the conscience that we have to share
And of the sorrow with which we have to bare

Can we not just forgive each other
And let the small details us not bother
Can we not just forget about all the bad things past?
And build on a love that for eternity will last?

Tomorrow brings its own problems and stress
But we can be sure of the Father that will us bless
Yesterday is long pass and done
On which we today a new day begun

Heartache will follow us all the way around
And by our conscience and guilt we are bound,
But by living every day we are blessed
Because by that loving your life in every detail can be blessed
