Missing You Poem by Allen Liebenberg

Missing You

Your voice over the phone the other day
Made my being drift far, far away
To a place where I would have a seat
When two months ago for the second time we would meet

Making your face a wallpaper on my phone
Didn’t bring me closer, but left me alone
As I realised your absence in my vicinity
And your closeness I again wanted to see

The magic in your eyes cause difficulty to swallow
And the kindness in your heart drags me below
When I grasp with all my might
And I only grab thin air tight

To be with you only once again
Is where my life every day begin
But to miss you with heaviness in my heart
Is where like from love part

I think of you before I can stop my mind
I recall you with memories that bind
I ponder you with fantastic mystery
And I miss you with hopes of togetherness for you and me
