If forgiveness is a key.
Can I be the lock?
For I am asking for forgiveness.
To be free from all unpleasantness.
I have been living with a heavy burden.
My eyes are swollen.
From tears which seemed to have been forgotten.
For I have been mistaken.
Once again,
I feel the pain.
For what it is like to be foolish in disdain.
Could you carry me?
One day you will see.
How difficult it is to be happy.
I have too much on my shoulder.
I am not one to be that type of giver.
I will handle it I say.
Only if you give me a chance instead of placing me to lay.
For the bed of earth.
Can at times be a rough turf.
So place me to lay in your arms.
Where it feels safe from all harms.
Let me know that I am yours.
For that will be the medicine to all cures.
A well composed poem. Truly heartfelt and touching...5 stars*****
