Forgive Me Please Poem by Thomas Plotz

Forgive Me Please

Forgive me please, for what I might say,
For I'm shrouded with the loss; of thought and knowledge,
Locked deep in the keep, below,
In the inner compartments of my mind,

If you know me, please say hello, don't cast your eyes in shame
Please take the keys, and unchain me, again
For the truth of pain is still a feeling
Felt down in my heart.

Hold my hand not to tight; for the frostbite stings a bit too
Let me know that ones I hold dear, are hear too

I close my eyes, and dream a dream, of being back home with you
Safe and without the scares, of battlefields that I roamed
The guns are still sounding, from far off distant lands
Soon they will be silent, as I drift away again.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
P.D.S. from war, like Alzheimer, is another reason the homeless are cast aside. Without proper medication, loss of a job, or, unable to receive food-stamps; people slip down to the streets. Without having enough emergency income, to sub-stain them until another job is found.
