Forgiving Heart
Thank you Lord for a forgiving heart
And for forgiving me
Thank you that You took upon Yourself
All of my sin at Calvary
You let those smitters do You in
And didn’t use Your Power
You could have called the angels then
To help You in that hour.
But NO! You stayed and suffered there
For what lay on ahead
The perfect sacrifice was given
Proof? God raised You from the dead.
So now O Lord a thankful heart
A heart to give thee praise
Not just a thankful heart today
But thankful all my days!

A forgiving heart is a great gift. if we do not forgive, we become psychologically very sick. lovely poem on forgiveness. thank u dear poet. tony
