Forgotten Poem by Ishita Kumar

Forgotten

Lies he, bathed in blood
Among many other's who fought for this very mud
withering in pain, he takes his last breath
Wishing his soul never rests
Until his mother, his India, is free
This is the tail of his history
the forgotten soldiers
the forgotten sacrifice
the forgotten love
the forgotters, WE
He smiled when he died
though he knew no one would cry
his sacrifice witnessed only by Sun, Moon and Earth
is the reason of our countries birth
though today we remember his feats
we killed the passion beneath
as his dreams lay rotten
the love for his country is forgotten
the willingness to die for our mother is forgotten
the forgo of our forefathers is forgotten
the value of our mothers lay forgotten
The pillars of our countries foundation
are destroyed by our generation
though we hoist the flag in pride
the truth we can't hide
As our hands goes to salute the brave
the fighter within us lies in grave
15August is now only a souvenir
we made our mother shed tears
from heaven when they see
what their prodigies turned out to be
I am sure they will be irate
Hoping that they won't their sacrifice to be mistake
