Forgotten Poem by Randy McClave

Forgotten

Remember, when I was there
And I gave you help and a prayer,
Then later from me more help you sought
No, you probably just forgot
Remember, when I answered my phone
When everyone else told you to, "leave me alone",
And everyone else just ran away
And only I did stay.
Remember, when you had those many bills
Because, of past purchases and thrills,
And then when they all came due
Do you remember, it was me who helped you.
Remember, when you needed this and that
Frantically you had requested in a chat
And my help you then desperately did admit
Or did you again, just forget.
Remember, when you said you'd pay me back
Well, I'm still not in the black
When I helped with bills and merchandise boughten,
Or have you just again, ignored and forgotten.
Remember, the times that I helped you out
You knew that I would without a doubt,
Never not once did I let you fall
So, I now wonder why you don't remember at all.
