Forgotten Poem by Troy Clark And Neal Simons

Forgotten

Rating: 5.0

I am forgotten,
Forever unknown,
My death means nothing,
I've reaped what I've sown.

I am forgotten,
No one knows who I am,
If I am to die,
No one would give a damn.

I am forgotten,
My name in no ones head,
My identity not known,
and my legacy dead.

I am forgotten,
Death will now take me away,
And yet no one will notice,
That I was gone today.

I've been there where you just can't find the right place to be and everywhere you go you feel like an outsider. No matter how hard you try to change for people it just doesn't feel right. I hope things are getting better for you, If not they will. Nice piece of work.Kudos! ! *Holly*

This is the only other poem I've read that's written about death and legacy. It's very well written, but sad. Lots of people think it's a morbid topic, but I don't think they would admit that they think about it, too, from time to time. I wrote one terribly similar to it, with a slightly different twist called, 'What Meant the Most'. It was about my eulogy and epitaph. Seems that we are one in mind with these pieces. Good write with top marks! Sheila
