Forgotten Dreams - Poem by Andrew Hackett

The nights are cold,
Cold and alone,
Alone in the darkness,
The darkness of dreams

The dreams are nightmares,
Nightmares come true,
The darkest of fears,
The fears so true

For now the time is here,
For now we must fight,
Fight our demons,
Fight our nightmares

The dreams are never ending,
Never ending in meaning,
For what we see in dreams,
Do truly have deep meanings,

The meanings are never clear,
The meanings can hurt,
The meanings are for us to decide,
The meanings are for life.
