Forgotten Prayers Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

Forgotten Prayers

Cheated shadows by manipulative light
Home of the cool,
Those played for fools
By enlightened regimes
To snatch their reigns.
Their burning lungs in prayers,
Invocating what's divine
But sky's arms remain folded
As they crawl in furrows of muddy cells
